The second stage of trainings for people with disabilities intending to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections was held in Uzbekistan. The training was organized by the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the Regional Office of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia(OHCHR), as well as OHCHR and UNDP within the framework of the joint Program of the UN Partnership Fund for the Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in partnership with the Association of Persons with Disabilities of Uzbekistan on the implementation of article 29 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities " On equal participation in political and public life". The training sessions focused on the strategy and tactics of working with political parties, as well as master classes by well-known deputies, bloggers (Rasul Kusherbayev, Nikita Makarenko, Dilorom Fayzieva) on negotiation techniques and representatives of online media.
